Information Competence is designed to enable students to cope with the age of information, and to evaluate obtained information critically.  The emphasis of this course lies on contemporary methods of information acquisition, i.e. using search engines on the Internet and Web 2.0 technologies.  However, information gathered from conventional media will also be considered.  Students will be required to create and publish information themselves, and to communicate information in the form of written reports or classroom presentations. The subject is presented online, via the UST’s e-learning platform.  All assessments and all the instructional material are available via the e-learning platform.
